SAOEDI-ARABIË – 20° EEUW Kiswah-fragment (qandeel) vervaardigd voor de Heilige Ka’aba, geborduurd met vergulde en verzilverde metaaldraad op een zwarte zijden ondergrond. Het rechthoekige paneel is voorzien van een centrale cartouche met een inscriptie in thuluth-schrift, omgeven door verfijnde arabeske motieven – 66 x 85 cm Met een inscriptie uit Soera al-Nur (24:35): “Allah is het licht van de hemelen en de aarde”.
