Ottomaanse rechthoekige Ka’aba-sleutelzak, gedateerd 1329 AH (1911 AD), vervaardigd uit twee aan elkaar genaaide groene zijden panelen, rijkelijk geborduurd met vergulde en verzilverde metaaldraad. Beide zijden zijn versierd met florale motieven rondom cartouches met inscripties in thuluth-schrift – 45 x 70 cm Met inscripties uit Soera al-Naml (27:30) en Soera al-Nisa (4:58). Een bijkomende inscriptie vermeldt de vervaardiging in opdracht van de Ottomaanse Sultan Mehmed V (Resad) en de vernieuwing in opdracht van Abbas Helmy II van Egypte in 1329 AH.
Ottoman rectangular Kaaba key bag dated 1329 AH (1911 AD), composed of two green silk panels sewn together and richly embroidered in gilt and silver-plated metal thread. Both sides are decorated with floral motifs surrounding cartouches containing inscriptions in thuluth script With inscriptions from Surah al-Naml (27:30) and Surah al-Nisa (4:58). A further inscription records its manufacture by order of the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed V (Resad) and its renewal by order of Abbas Helmy II of Egypt in 1329 AH.
