OUD VIETNAM – DONG SON CULTUUR – 4° EEUW BC containervaas met mandvorm met conishe corpus in brons – hoogte : 26,5 cm De vierkante gaten zijn afkomstig van het gieten. In oorsprong zijn het tussenpennen die de twee nodige moulvormen uit mekaar hielden. Bij het gieten van het brons bleven daardoor de moulvormen op hun plaats.
4th Cent. BC Ancient Vietnam Dong Son Culture jar in bronze. The square holes come from casting. Originally they were intermediate pins that held the two necessary mold forms apart. When casting the bronze, the mold forms remained in place.
