NOORD-OOST INDIA – NAGA – 20° EEUW schild in Mithun-buffelleder, bovenaan versierd met een strook mensenhaar, beschilderd met een dubbele V-vorm die uitloopt in een spiraal en centraal een pijlvorm – hoogte en breedte : 86 en 45 cm De V-vormige spiraal komt ook vaak voor in mannenjuwelen.
20th Cent. Indian Naga shield in Mithun buffalo leather, decorated at the top with a strip of human hair, painted with a double V-shape ending in a spiral and an arrow shape in the middle. The V-shaped spiral is also often found in men’s jewellery.
