Hoewel Warhol ervoor koos de afbeelding niet in de gepubliceerde editie op te nemen, blijft Sitting Bull A70 een van de meest intrigerende werken uit de serie. Het weerspiegelt Warhols fascinatie voor de mythe van het ‘Wilde Westen’ en de culturele tegenstrijdigheden ervan.

See II.376 and IIB.376, p. 205. Though Warhol chose to exclude the imagefrom the published edition, Sitting Bull A70 remains one of the most compelling works from the series. It reflects Warhol’s fascination with the myth of the ‘Wild West’ and its cultural contradictions.
