Negentiende/twintigste eeuws Ottomaans textiel paneel uit Egypte of Turkije in zwart met gouddraad geborduurd textiel met centraal de naam “Allah” in een elegante Thuluth scriptuur – 114 x 115 cm
19th/20th Cent. Ottoman metal-thread black textile from Egypt or Turkey with in the center a roundel inscribed with “Allah” in elegant Thuluth script, encircled by a calligraphic band on green silk. Radiating rays extend outward, and each corner features a red roundel with additional calligraphy. The Inscriptions are ” Allah jalla jalaluhu (“God, exalted be His glory”), ” Verses from Surah al-Fath, 4-5 and ” Four of the Beautiful Names of Allah (Asma’ al-Husna)
