OUD-VIETNAM – THANH HOA – 3° EEUW tamboer / regendrum van het “Muong” – volk in brons met typische patine – diameter en hoogte : 58,5 en 41,5 cm Het trommelvlak is in het midden versierd met een zonnester met 7 stralen, errond 7 cirkelvormige banden met ruitvormige geometrische figuren. Verder is het bovenvlak versierd met 4 kikvorsen. De kikvors staat voor vruchtbare akkers. De zijwand is versierd met 7 banden waarvan 4 met dezelfde geometrische figuren als het bovenvlak en 3 banden met een symmetrisch bloemmotief.

Ancient Vietnam Thanh Hoa tambour / rain drum of the “Muong” people in bronze with typical patina The drum surface is decorated in the middle with a sun star with 7 rays, around it 7 circular bands with diamond-shaped geometric figures. Furthermore, the upper surface is decorated with 4 frogs. The frog stands for fertile fields. The side wall is decorated with 7 bands, 4 of which with the same geometric figures as the upper surface and 3 bands with a symmetrical flower motif.
