Lot van twee maskers uit Sri Lanka in zacht en licht hout – hoogtes : ca 30 cm prov : collectie Prigogine – Brussel Dhr Yves Prigogine (zoon van Nobelprijswinnaar Ilya) en zijn vrouw organiseerden vanaf de jaren ’90 zeer regelmatig expedities in Papoea-Nieuw Guinea en Irian Jaya met het doel de lokale bevolkingsstammen te leren kennen en artefacten van hen te verzamelen. Nu haar man gestorven is, moet zij de grote collectie beetje per beetje verkopen.
