WARHOL ANDY (1928 – 1987) lot met twee apart ingekaderde prints – met de hand gesigneerde uitnodiging (21 x 14) voor de opening van de expo in Hause Reese dd 1980 met een dedicatie “To Jo Baumann love Andy Warhol” (Jo Baumann was toen de secretaresse van Carl Vogel aan de Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg – “Sunset” – print/proefdruk (85 x 85) dd 1972, Warhol maakte in totaal 632 unieke prenten voor de “Sunset”-serie, die niet gesigneerd of genummerd werden, maar gestempeld zijn op de achterkant “Hotel Marquette Prints” (zichtbaar via plexi) 472 prenten werden geplaatst in de kamers van het gerenoveerde Hotel Marquette in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Andy Warhol lot with two separately framed prints : – a hand-signed invitation for the opening of the exhibition at Hause Reese dated 1980 with a dedication “To Jo Baumann love Andy Warhol” (Jo Baumann was then Carl Vogel’s secretary at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg) – a “Sunset” – print/proof dd 1972, Warhol made a total of 632 unique prints for the “Sunset” series, which were not signed or numbered, but are stamped on the back “Hotel Marquette Prints” (visible through plexiglass) 472 prints were placed in the rooms of the renovated Hotel Marquette in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
