TURKIJE of EGYPTE – 1900 Ottomaanse kalligrafische ‘Sitara’ (235 x 135 cm) met vergulde en verzilverde metaaldraad met een Mihrab-voorstelling gevuld met kalligrafie en florale motieven onder een cirkelvormig medaillon, volledig omzoomd door een geometrisch en vegetale borduur getekend ‘Tughra of Sultan Abdul Hamid II’ en gedateerd 1318 AH (1900 AD)
Ottoman signed and dated calligraphic ‘Sitara’ with gilt and silverplated metal thread depicting three Mihrab niches filled with calligraphy and floral motifs, beneath a circular medallion, all surrounded by a continuous geometric and vegetal border. With inscriptions ‘Ayat al-Kursi’, ‘Kalimat al-Tawhid’, the four Rightly Guided Caliphs with Hasan and Husayn signed ‘Tughra of Sultan Abdul Hamid II’ and dated 1318 AH (1900 AD)
